Lumbini Tour in Nepal

Lumbini is known for being the birthplace of the Lord Buddha. Because of this, it’s an important pilgrimage site for Buddhist devotees from all over the world, making it one of the most spiritual places to visit in Nepal. You’ll come across beautiful monasteries built by different countries scattered around the site. The most important temple of all though, is the Maya Devi Temple. It protects ancient ruins which are said to stand at the very location of Buddha’s birthplace.

It doesn’t matter whether you follow the Buddhist faith or not, or even whether you are religious at all. The site is worth visiting for its significance within the Buddhist world, and for the spiritual atmosphere rather than for its beauty.

Lumbini is famous in Nepal for being the birthplace of Buddha. Thousands of pilgrims visit here every year to worship, meditate and learn at the site. Throughout the years, the temple complex has grown from just one temple to commemorate the birthplace, to a whole monastic complex with beautiful Buddhist temples which have been donated from around the world.
Visit beautiful monasteries built by different Buddhist countries like China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Germany and observe the different architecture and prayer areas. Soak up the peaceful atmosphere and above all visits the Mayadevi Temple which dates back to 2,200 years, which archaeological evidence proclaim as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautam or Lord Buddha in 623 BC.
Lumbini is quite perplexing. There were all these great temples on the one side and then a terrible underfunded city on the other. So, it was great to visit the temples but not a fantastic place for tourists and travelers who want to visit there. I wouldn’t say I regretted my time there as I found the temples to be stunning, but I definitely wouldn’t spend more than one night in the future.
As a result,my  experiences and so I have created some honest tips which will help other travelers when visiting Lumbini. Contact us for more details about Lumbini Tour in Nepal.
