Tsum Valley is a valley with very ancient Buddhist culture in the east-north region of the Gorkha district. The specific meaning of the word Tsum is 'East.' It is also known as the zone of non-violence. Tsumanubri rural municipality of Gorkha-6 Chumchet and 7 Chekampar, two wards are collectively called Tsum Valley. In the Tsum Valley Trek where there are about 800 households, Sacrifice has never happened.

Chekampar was declared a non-violence zone in 1977 and Chumchet in 2069.
